Business Background: 


A company is the distribution customer who started working with CIMC Equilink in 2020., In 2020, the customer purchased 500,000 RMB of container parts from our company, and in 2021, it has reached nearly 1 million yuan , The business is on the rise. The customer is also a container trade customer. In addition to the traditional container trade and leasing, the company’s website in 2022 shows that the new container processing business and a small amount of parts distribution business will be added. Our marketing consultant preliminarily judged that the customer's demand for container parts will continue to increase, mainly to meet their own storage yard and customized processing needs, and to take into account distribution. In 2022, as of mid-May, the customer's purchase amount of container parts reached nearly 500,000 yuan, and there was a backlog of 760,000 yuan orders that could not be shipped. The reason for the backlog is that due to the epidemic logistics control, commodities are scattered in Shanghai, Yangzhou, Ningbo, Guangzhou warehouses and cannot be collected. The customer is in a hurry to get the goods, but the sea freight for LCL shipment is too high, so we can only wait for the unsealing for the time being. In mid-to-late May 2022, the customer asked for a new product door panel combination, but the door hinge was required to be welded on the door panel combination. The factory said that it could not provide it, indicating that the ordinary door panel combination with door hinges were all packaged and shipped separately, and the customer welded them independently. But the customer insisted that we welded the hinge and urgently needed to ship it.

Here's our action:
1. For the door panel combination of the new inquiry product, we will deeply understand the customer's needs and ask the customer why they insist on welding hinges. The customer said that the door hinges were missing many times at the box factory site. The on-site manpower was limited, and the welding workers were not easy to manage. The door hinges were sent separately to increase the customer's operating costs and reduce work efficiency. In response to this, it is recommended that the customer directly purchase a complete set of finished back-end door frame combinations, which saves processing time and cost, and facilitates on-site management. The customer said that it is exactly what he needs, confirming the order for 36 sets of 40HC back-end combinations, and the factory can deliver within a week.


2. In response to the customer's request for urgent shipment orders, sort out the backlog of orders, confirm the logistics and epidemic prevention policies of various places, and the weight of the goods, and confirm the type and quantity of inventory products (to suggest customers to purchase more without affecting the overall delivery time), confirm that in the feasibility of the factory's packing, as well as the details of the packing plan, etc., the purpose is to integrate the information of all parties and combine all the customer's orders in hand to provide the customer with an optimal shipping plan.


3. Provide solutions for customers: explain to customers the situation of inventory and logistics in various places. On the one hand, it is recommended that customers purchase a certain number of corner pieces, so that the goods from suppliers outside Shanghai can be collected and packed in the corner piece factory in Ningbo. On the other hand, we have compiled a list of products in stock in Shanghai warehouse for customers, and suggested that customers select and purchase a certain number of products in stock in Shanghai, so that we can fill up 2X40HC of backlog orders and new orders in Shanghai and ship from Shanghai. List out the detailed packing plan to the customer, and explain to the customer that this is the optimal solution, which can maximize the use of container space and save logistics costs.

Pleasant result: 

The customer accepted the suggestion of adding more goods, and accepted our packing and logistics plan at the same time. The backlogged inventory and the additionally purchased goods totaled 1.45 million yuan were all shipped smoothly in June. As of the end of June, the customer has purchased nearly 2 million yuan of container parts from our company
