1.Definition and Composition

Container plywood flooring, simply put, is the floor laid at the bottom of a container and it's a crucial component of the container. Generally, it's made by laminating multiple layers of high-quality wood through gluing processes. For the face and back layers, materials like keruing are commonly chosen, while for the core layers, there are various options such as meranti, beech, eucalyptus, pine, and miscellaneous woods. High-quality adhesives like phenolic glue are used for lamination, and certified preservatives (such as those certified by AQIS) are added to enhance its performance. This forms a strong and durable floor structure, laying the foundation for the container to carry cargo and ensuring the normal use of the container during transportation and other processes.

2.Specifications and Dimensions

Common container plywood flooring comes in different specifications and dimensions. In terms of length, there are options like 2400mm, 1160mm, 1010mm, 1388mm, 1626mm, etc. The common widths are 1160mm, 636mm, etc. Most of them have a thickness of 28mm, though there are also products with other thicknesses like 15mm. For example, a 20GP (20-foot general dry cargo container) usually requires 4 pieces of 1160-2400-28mm flooring and 2 pieces of 1160-1010-28mm flooring. A 40GP (40-foot general dry cargo container) and 40HQ (40-foot high cube dry cargo container) would need 4 pieces of 636-1626-28mm flooring, 6 pieces of 1160-2400-28mm flooring, and 2 pieces of 1160-1388-28mm flooring. Different-sized flooring is suitable for different types of containers. Smaller-sized flooring might be more appropriate for containers with special spatial layouts or smaller ones, while larger-sized ones, when used in large standard containers, can reduce splicing, improve overall stability, and better bear the cargo.
